FRAUD ALERT

Fraud Alert

If you have been in recent contact with an online seller who is offering you a ‘below market value’ vehicle, please read the following article carefully.

The seller advises that they are selling their vehicle as they have moved to Europe with work. They inform you that ‘because it is a large transaction you should complete the deal only through FEXCO who offers a third party service’.
The seller then requests your full name and address, advising you that they will organise a FEXCO Account and a representative will be in contact with you.
A person claiming to be a FEXCO Representative will then contact you by email/phone, advising you of your Transaction Reference Number and requesting that you send a percentage of the purchase price of the vehicle via a money transfer service in order to hold the deal and vehicle. Buyer Beware – This is a SCAM.

The FEXCO Group powers niche financial products and services through its market leading partnership businesses. However, it does not operate a third party service.
FEXCO does not offer any type of purchase or escrow service.
FEXCO is not a collection or holding service.
We caution online buyers not to enter into any purchase agreement as outlined above.

Remember, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
